The inspiration was a softer interpretation of Mughal romance - layered greens, blush pinks, delicate florals, and a sense of richness that felt elegant rather than overwhelming. There was a clear nod to heritage, but interpreted in a way that felt contemporary and refined. North Mymms Park provided the perfect setting for it all, with its grand interiors creating a beautiful contrast against the softness of the design.
Our role was to create a fragrance experience that felt entirely at home within that world.
Rather than arriving with something that felt like a separate activation, the intention was always integration. We styled our signature sculptural wavy perfume bar as part of the wider design story, incorporating fresh florals chosen to echo the event décor and palette. The goal was for the installation to feel intentional — less like an external addition, and more like something that naturally belonged within the celebration.
That’s often where experiential details succeed or fail. The strongest ones don’t feel bolted on for entertainment value; they feel as though they were considered from the very beginning.
Throughout the day, guests explored the fragrance collection, discovering scents that resonated with them and leaving with beautifully bottled keepsakes from the celebration. What makes fragrance so different from other design elements is the way it changes guest interaction. Flowers are admired, tablescapes are photographed, but scent invites participation. People pause, compare preferences, discuss what they’re drawn to, and engage in a way that feels unexpectedly personal.
As part of the experience, Shara & Zarif also received personalised signature fragrances of their own - a detail we particularly love, because scent has a uniquely powerful relationship with memory. Long after the florals have faded and the day itself has passed, a familiar fragrance has a way of bringing everything back in an instant.
This was one of those events where everything aligned beautifully — the setting, the styling, and the atmosphere. A celebration rooted in heritage, interpreted with softness, and designed not just to be seen, but remembered.
